Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of non-contagious conditions that cause physical disability in humans. CP usually forms either during pregnancy or the first three to five years of a child’s life.
In some cases, a doctor’s error set up the conditions that caused cerebral palsy at birth in a newborn. It is a life-long condition
There are many conditions and disabilities patients with CP face. These include vision, hearing, speech, and learning disabilities. Patients also physically lose the ability to walk or use hand control without difficulty.
Since there is no cure for CP, the goal for most patients is to help the child achieve as much independence as possible throughout life. The treatments vary to fit the needs of each patient. New technology is constantly being invented to help people with CP.
Patients who have cerebral palsy can now use a computer just like anybody else thanks to the creation of special accessing devices.
