Cameron, the county seat of Milam County, is located on the Little River in north central Texas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a population of 5,770, with a total area of 4.2 square miles. The city is located at the junction of U.S. Highways 77 and 190, approximately 71 miles northeast of Austin.
