A class action lawsuit has been filed in California by Botox users against its manufacturer, Allergan Inc., alleging failure to warn, along with several other individual cases. In Texas, a 69-year-old nurse died after getting Botox injections for her neck and shoulder pain, as well as a 7-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who was receiving the shots to control the spasms caused by her disease. According to United Press International (UPI), a group of children’s charities in England have released a study suggesting children from poor families are at 10 times the risk of sudden infant death and twice as likely to have cerebral palsy as children from higher income families.
