Every second counts during the birth of a child. If doctors wait too long to make a decision, it can cause lifelong complications, disabilities and an early death for the child. A birth injury lawsuit filed in Cook County alleges that a doctor’s delayed decision to order a C-section resulted in the death of a child just days after his birth. The mother blames the doctor responsible for the delivery and the VHS West Suburban Medical Center in Illinois for the newborn’s wrongful death. She also claims that the hospital failed to warn her that a vaginal delivery might not be the best option for her due to a previous C-section.
