The research shows the relationship between the density of these bundles in the brain matter and affected areas of the brain.
The results helped the researchers understand that not all areas of the brain were affected by a patient’s cerebral palsy, and therefore it helped them pinpoint the areas that were most affected. The researchers said this would allow an individual to focus on the therapies that work directly with the affected areas of the brain. The study found that current brain scans can detect these areas and can be used to match patients with a relevant treatment.
