Today marks World Autism Awareness Day 2015.
To raise awareness, many people around the world are participating in the “Light It Up Blue” campaign, by wearing blue. In addition, many buildings are expected to be lit up in blue as visual to remind people about the challenges that people with autism face.
Sadly, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in 68 children in the U.S. has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Some experts say that the increase is due to a better awareness by doctors and parents about the condition.
Keep in mind, autism can have a great impact on a person’s social, communication and behavioral functioning.
The United Nations first designated world Autism Awareness Day in 2007.
Why Should I Speak to an Attorney If My Twins Suffer From Autism?
Do your fraternal twins suffer from autism? Our law firm is currently looking for parents of autistic fraternal twins, because we believe that there may be a link between the disorder and the drug terbutaline, also known as Brethine, Bricanyl and Brethaire.
We are looking at fraternal twins because they share 50 percent of their DNA with their siblings, but face the same exposures during gestation, meaning they share exposure to all substances with their mother including to potentially harmful drugs.
Our firm includes attorney Ryan Krebs, M.D., J.D., who is also doctor. Contact our experienced injury lawyers today for more information.
