Mother’s Cesarean Section Goes Wrong, Texas Family Files Brain Injury Lawsuit
A couple in Texas filed a brain injury lawsuit, stating that their child suffered severe and permanent injuries during and after the mother’s delayed Cesarean section. According to the lawsuit, hospital staff failed to provide the required facilities for the mother’s emergency C-section, which caused the newborn to sustain permanent brain damage. The mother was forced to wait for an available operating room, as the hospital failed to provide a surgical suite in a timely manner for her emergency C-section. The mother stated that the physicians who facilitated her childbirth had a duty to provide a competent degree of skill and supervision, yet failed to offer a standard level of medical care.
